Caroline Proust is a theatre, television and film actress. She trained at the Atelier de Théâtre Amateur (TJV) in Le Vigan, the Conservatoire de Montpellier and the Conservatoire de Paris. Caroline began her theatrical career with a role in Mood Pieces by Tennessee Williams in 1992. She has since divided her time between the stage and television. Highlights include a role in Jean-Pierre Vincent’s production of Le Jeu de l’Amour et du Hasard by Marivaux.

On television, Caroline has a lead role in the Canal+ police drama series Spiral, playing Laure Berthaud, a chief inspector with a predilection for strong arm tactics. The series has won international acclaim and has been sold to almost seventy countries.

On the big screen, amongst other films, Caroline can be seen in Alain Corneau’s Le cousin and Julien Séri’s Scorpion. More recently Caroline has appeared as Léa in Eric Besnard’s Ca$h (2008), and alongside Vincent Lindon and Emmanuelle Devos in La Permission de Minuit (2011).
