Christophe Lambert Biography And Filmography Of The Actor

Christophe Lambert
Actor / director / producer
Born:
29 March 1957
Location: Great Neck, New York

An internationally renowned actor, Christopher began his film career with the thriller Le Bar du Téléphone (1980), after studying at the Conservatoire de Paris. He gained widespread recognition four years later, playing the lead role in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, the success of which marked the definitive start of his work as an actor.

From that point on, he divided his time between France and Hollywood. He appeared in Elie Chouraqui’s Paroles et Musique in 1984, with Luc Besson giving him a role in Subway in 1985, for which he received the César for Best Actor. He went on to play the immortal Connor MacLeod in Highlander.

Christopher has appeared in more than thirty films worldwide, including Fortress, Beowulf, Hercule et Sherlock, and the adaptation of the Mortal Kombat video game. He worked alongside Philippe Noiret in Max et Jérémie, and appeared as a rock fan in Janis et John (2003). Sophie Marceau directed Christopher in La Disparue de Deauville in 2006 and the pair went on to work together again in L’Homme de Chevet three years later.

Ever keen to broaden his horizons, Génial, mes Parents divorcent! and Neuf Mois saw Christopher switch to the role of producer. In 2011, he published his first novel, La Fille Porte-Bonheur. He recently gave a stunning performance in the hit television series NCIS: Los Angeles, for which he has signed on for new episodes.

2013 Christophe Lambert President of the Jury at 53nd Monte CarloTelevision Festival in Monaco 2013,  from 9to 13 June 2013.
