1988 Monaghan and his family moved to England when he was twelve.

1995 Dominic studied English Literature Drama and Geography at Sixth Form College

1996 Dominic Monaghan’s first appearance on TV was his role in the British television drama "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates"

1999 He had the leading role in the series Monsignor Renard, with John Thaw

2000 Monaghan acted in the mini series "This Is Personal: The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper"

2001 He acted in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

2003 In order to protect nature, Dominic bought a forest in India. He moved to Los Angeles 25 minutes from a beach.

2004 Dominic wrote and recorded the vocals for the tracks "Shadow" and "Maybe", and co-wrote and recorded "Half Fling" with Elijah Wood on Viggo Mortensen's album 'Pandemoniumfromamerica'.

2006 April. Speculation has mounted that Dominic Monaghan has plans to propose to his girlfriend Evangeline Lilly, after he was seen shopping for rings in Beverly Hills, California
