Joseph Sargent directed Sweet Nothing in My Ear; Sybil; Warm Springs, Emmy Award; Something the Lord Made, Emmy Award, AFI Award of Excellence, DGA Outstanding Directorial Achievement Award & opening film 2004 Monte Carlo Festival.

Other Emmy Awards: Day One; Caroline?; Miss Rose White; Miss Evers’ Boys; A Lesson Before Dying; Love is Never Silent; & The Marcus-Nelson Murders also Best Director of year DGA, feature film The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three, won best picture San Sebastian Film Festival. In addition to Emmys-Best Director, 14 of his films received Emmys for Best Film.

Graduated from NY’s New School for Social Research with Degree Theatre Arts.
Began career as an actor, appeared in & directed Broadway & off-Broadway productions, formed a theatre company in Hollywood, and he later make transition from theatre to film.
