Luc Besson - Biography

Luc Besson, entered the movie world at the age of 17. It was love at first sight! Besson began his career on the set of a short movie directed by Patrick Granperret and has since worked in many capacities on films including; L’avant Dernier (1981), Subway (1985), The Big Blue (1988), Nikita (1990), The Professional (1994), The Fifth Element (1997), The Messenger (1999) and most recently Angel-A (2006). In 2001, Luc Besson and Pierre Ange formed EuropaCorp. Through this company, they plan to produce 4 to 8 movies a year handling all the major and key activities of the process: from the production to the theatrical distribution, to video and music publishing and even the international sales.
