Former Husbands: Brad Beckerman and Emilio Estevez

Her father: Harry Abdul, of Sephardic Jewish background from  Syria , former livestock trader in  Brazil

Her mother:  Lorraine  Abdul, also Jewish born in  Canada , former assistant to film director Billy Wilder.

1969 Paula Abdul took tap dance lessons and was awarded a scholarship to Tap dancing school.

Paula graduated in Broadcast Radio and TV at the California State-Northridge College. She also belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers NBA Cheerleading team, she became the head of the cheerleaders. Short after, Paula Abdul became the choreographer of very important artists.

1987 Paula joined some friends in a group called "The Cheer Girls" and recorded a demo.

1988 As a soloist singer, she released her first album "Forever Your Girl", with the successful single "Straight Up"

1999 She was the guest of "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn"

2003 Paula Abdul is a member of the jury of American Idol

2005 Paula Abdul will participate again in American Idol, she will also release her "Video Hits" DVD and is planning to expand her Wal-Mart clothing line.
