Philippe Torrenton studied at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique, with Madeleine Marion, Catherine Hiegel, and Daniel Mesguich.

He’s a member of the Comédie-Française since 1990.

1996 Philippe Torrenton received the Gérard-Philipe Award in Paris.

1997 He received the César Award of the best actor, thanks to his role in the film Capitaine Conan, directed by Bertrand Tavernier. He also received the Golden Swan in Cabourg.

2004 His film “Monsieur N” was present at the Festival de Cine Franco Mexicano, in november .
