Born Princess Wilhelmine in Potsdam, Prussia (modern-day Germany), she assumed the title of Wilhelmine of Prussia, Queen of the Netherlands following her marriage to King William I of the Netherlands. She ruled from 1815 until her death in 1837. 
Family
She and her seven siblings were the children of Queen Frederica Louisa and King Frederick William II of Prussia. Her marriage to King William I produced two sons and two daughters.
