Randolph Mark Viverito - Biography

Randolph Mark Viverito

Randolph Mark Viverito makes his film directing debut with MY NAME IS JACKIE BEAT.

Born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Viverito grew up with a love of film. While studying Creative Writing at New York University, that love of film led him to take his first job in the industry as an intern/assistant for Harvey and Bob Weinstein at Miramax.

After working at MIRAMAX on and off for about three years, Viverito returned home  to Puerto Rico where he studied classical voice (opera) and worked an assistant stage director for Teatro de la Opera, one of the largest opera companies in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Following that brief stint, Viverito returned to New York and the film distribution world as the assistant to Paul Cohen, the President of Stratosphere Entertainment; a film distribution company owned by billionaire Carl Icahn.

Viverito was inspired to make MY NAME IS JACKIE BEAT after seeing Jackie Beat perform live at the club FEZ in New York. Beat’s talent as both a gifted comedian and an incredibly talented musician with an amazing voice seemed a unique fit for Viverito due to his love of comedy along with his own operatic background. Although considered primarily an underground performer, Viverito felt he could explore and shine a light on Jackie Beat's talent and make a film that would allow a larger audience to appreciate her incredible artistry
