Tim Orr - Biography

Over the past few years Tim Orr has emerged as one of the preeminent cinematographers in American Independent Cinema. GEORGE WASHINTON, his first feature with director David Gordon Green, garnered worldwide praise as well as Awards for Best Cinematography from the Stockholm Film Festival and an Independent Spirit Award Nomination for excellence in Cinematography. Peter Sollett’s RAISING VICTOR VARGAS followed as well as ALL THE REAL GIRLS, his second collaboration with David Gordon Green. The following year Tim photographed Mark Milgard’s debut feature DANDELION, which earned him another Independent Spirit Award Nomination. Since then he has compiled feature credits which include: IMAGINARY HEROES, UNDERTOW, LITTLE MANHATTAN, THE BAXTER, TRUST THE MAN, OFF THE BLACK and COME EARLY MORNING.
