Birth Place: Madrid, Spain
Children: Two: Martin and Félix.
Victoria speaks Spanish, French, English and Italian.
Former husband: Pierre Edelman, producer

Victoria Abril took dance lessons and then gave teaching lessons, which
motivated her to make her first movie.

1973 Victoria Abril debuted carrying out small roles in several productions of all types, with actors like Audrey Hepburn and Sean Connery, parallel to television, where she became presenter and hosted popular programs in Spanish television.  Her teacher encouraged her to participate in her first film, in 1974.

After that, she was chosen by director 'Narciso Ibáñez Serrador' to participate in his famous TV contest _Un, dos, tres_ ('One, two, three'), and so she became well known all over Spain.

Since 1975 she made several films in France and Italy

1977 Victoria Abril got the leading role in the film "Cambio de Sexo", directed by Vicente Aranda

Victoria married a french man and moved to Paris in 1982

1991 She received the golden Bear of Berlin, to the best actress for her
performance in "Lovers "of Vicente Aranda

1995 She was awarded the first prize at the Cannes Film Festival for her
performance in "Nadie Hablará de Nosotros Cuando Hayamos Muerto. She also got an award at the San Sebastian Film Festival.

Victoria Abril has registered five music albums and has acted in theater in Spain

2004 Victoria Abril, Sir Sean Connery and Laurence Fishburne were among the movie stars expected to turn out for the Marrakech Film Festival. British director Alan Parker was presiding over a jury including Brazilian writer Paulo Coehlo and American actress Rosanna Arquette for this fourth annual international Film Festival.
