1997 Emilie studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Australia (NIDA), and with the Prime Time Actors Studio in Los Angeles.
1998 Emilie de Ravin got her first starring role on the popular television series, Beastmaster: The Legend Continues.
1999 she moved to Los Angeles and played the role of Tess Harding, an alien, in the series Roswell.
2000 Emilie played the role of Chris in Carrie, a movie made for TV. She also changed genres, starring in Santa Slay, a black comedy produced by Brett Ratner.
2005 Emilie made her debut at Sundance 2005 with the the award-winning indie film Brick. She is also due to star in the upcoming film The Hills Have Eyes in 2006.
2006 Emilie acts in the ABC series Lost, with Evangeline Lilly, Adewale Akinnouye and Matthew Fox, playing the role of Claire Littleton, a young Australian who gave birth on the mysterious island and has a close relationship with heroin-addict Charlie, played by Dominic Monaghan.
