Hilary has always loved sports, she was Junior Olympics and Washington state championships in swimming and ranked fifth in the state in all-around gymnastics.

1983 When she was nine years old she starred in her first play as "Mowgli" in "The Jungle Book."

1986 Hilary Swank and her mother moved to Los Angeles, they had economic problems. Short after,  Hilary Swank was discovered by producer Suzy Sachs.

1992 She appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Sarah Michelle Gellar

1994 She acted in the film The Next Karate Kid

1997 Hilary auditioned for a role in the T.V. Series "The Practice" That same year she met her husband Chad Lowe while she was working in "Quiet Days in Hollywood".

1999 She acted in the film Boys Don't Cry and won the Best Actress Oscar.

2002 Hilary Swank and her husband bought a house in Greenwich Village, for 4 million dollars.

2004 Hilary gained 20 pounds in order to play the role of a boxer in the film "Million Dollar Baby", besides gaining weight, she had to take boxing lessons.

2005 Hilary Swank received a Golden Globe Award to the best actress for her role in the film Million Dollar Baby.
