THE NIGHT BEFORE THE 2010 ACADEMY AWARDS

On Saturday 6 March 2010, Harvey and Bob Weinstein and the Weinsten Company join Montblanc International in hosting a cocktail event to honour UNICEF the night before the 2010 Academy Awards in Los Angeles, CA. This event helps celebrate Montblanc's continued support of UNICEF and their important educational initiatives including the announcement of the fundraising results for its global "Signature for Good" program to benefit UNICEF's education and literacy programs worldwide, which was launched on June 1, 2009 and has raised over $2 million USD to date.

Through the "Signature for Good" initiative, Montblanc has developed a unique collection of writing instruments, jewelry and accessories to help raise funds to support UNICEF's education and literacy programs for children worldwide. The Friday before the 2009 Oscars, Montblanc presented in Los Angeles for the first time 12 beautiful portraits of Hollywood's finest leading ladies. The portraits then traveled the world to be back in Los Angeles in September 2009 when they were auctioned to benefit UNICEF.

One year ago, Montblanc committed to raise $1.5 million USD for UNICEF between February 2009 and June 2010 through its global "Signature for Good" initiative. On March 6th 2010 Montblanc International CEO, Lutz Bethge, will announce that they have already surpassed their donation goal and will be handing over a subtotal of $2 million USD to Ms. Caryl M. Stern, president & CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, who will accept this check on behalf of the global UNICEF partnership with Montblanc. Funds raised from the Montblanc "Signature for Good" initiative will continue to benefit UNICEF until May 31, 2010, when the campaign concludes.

The newly opened Soho House in West Hollywood will be the location for Hollywood's finest in celebration of these achievements. This evening will mark the very first event ever held at the brand new Soho House and commemorates the highly anticipated opening of the club to their members.

Each year, Montblanc International will present on the night before the Academy Awards the announcement of their annual charity initiative. This year, the star-studded event will feature the unveiling of the Montblanc Wish Tree. The Montblanc Wish Tree will give celebrity guests the opportunity to write their "wishes" for children's education with a special Montblanc Meisterstck Fountain Pen. Following the event, the Montblanc Wish Tree, bearing these special aspirations for those less fortunate, will tour the world, and return to New York City in September where it will be exhibited for the international launch of the Montblanc Donation Pen John Lennon to collect more wishes.

Montblanc will further announce in September 2010 the charity programs which will benefit from the donations of the sales of the Montblanc John Lennon pen. At the end of the year the Montblanc Wish Tree will be auctioned to benefit education programs for children in need.
